Several people have expressed an interest in who Kelly Jean is; so,
I decided to give the matter some thought to see if there was any way on
earth
to describe her to me as well as to you.
Kelly is Irish and has a love of all things Celtic. When she was just a
wee bit of a girl, she went to Ireland where she and her father kissed the
blarney stone. KJ loves laughter and her green eyes shine with mischief
more times than not. KJ will never grow old. While others are digging
deep into themselves to find "their inner child", KJ has to dig very
deeply to find the grown-up person.
KJ has never seen a beach, but she knows intuitively that she loves the
sound of waves crashing upon the shore (whether sandy beach or craggy
rock) and the way the moonlight glimmers across the water. She thinks
that waves lapping onto a moonlit beach is
one of the most beautiful sights she can
imagine.
A psychic once told Kelly that she was "one of the special ones" from
Atlantis and that Kelly had more protection around her than anyone else
the psychic had ever seen. But then, KJ has always known that angels were
protecting her....not so much to keep her from harm, but to lead her
safely through it. Kelly is a child of God and this is the core of her
being.
Kelly loves tulips and daffodils and the velvety feel of rose petals. She
loves to plant a seed and watch it sprout into a beautiful plant or
flower. She loves storms. While others are hiding in their homes and
storm shelters, KJ is outside with uplifted face as the wind whips through
her hair and the storm thunders around her for it is then that she feels
truly alive.
Kelly loves to watch the snow falling on a cold winter night and then to
see the freshly fallen snow and icicles glistening in the morning
sunlight.
She loves the fog in the daytime
but never at night because it hides too much and Kelly is ever watchful.
Kelly loves to read. Among her favorites are John Grisham, Stephen King (especially "The Talisman" written
by King and Peter Straub), Anne Rice and Morgan Llywelyn, among others.
Books are magical,
mystical places to go to escape the real world.
KJ has always loved music; although, her musical taste is rather eclectic.
Her very favorite performer (at this point in time) is Phil Coulter,
followed closely by Enya and Jim Brickman.
She enjoysYanni,
Lorie
Line, Meat Loaf,
Roger Whitaker, and other artists who can
cause her heart to
skip a beat or to soothe her soul.
Kelly is fascinated with words and numbers. She has a fascination with
the internet and all that it involves. Kelly is amazed at the kindred
spirits and kind-hearted individuals she has found there.
Kelly loves sunsets and sunrises, rainbows, candlelight, the smell of
vanilla and cinnamon wafting on the air, knights in shining armor, gentle
breezes and the Fall. She
loves the month of October~~with pumpkins, Halloween, the afternoon
sunlight filtering through the multihued leaves, the crisp smell of
autumn, and harvest moons.
Kelly is kind and loyal and has many friends both new and old. She is the
keeper of secrets. Kelly likes poetry, Rod McKuen, and the
Desiderata . KJ likes
a good
movie~~especially El Cid, The Searchers, and The Seventh Sign. All cause
her to cry but give her hope that "good" will always triumph in the end.
Kelly is sensitive to a fault and would never deliberately cause another
pain. KJ cannot abide conflict and, subsequently, is a peacemaker.
Kelly is quiet and is neither an optimist nor a pessimist, but a realist.
Kelly Jean loves to walk in the evenings and to hear the wind whispering
in the trees. She loves dogs (big, not small), cats, bagels, diet
Dr. Pepper, and falling stars. Her favorite colors are peach or pink and
cream....and red....and blue....and navy. Kelly loves them all! KJ loves
the rain and the rainbows that follow. Many, many times, she has gone
searching for the elusive pot of gold.
While Kelly has a temper (she is a
Taurus, you know), tends to be a bit
eccentric and forgetful, doesn't know how to handle conflict, is a bit
insecure, and stubborn to a fault, I am glad that I know and am Kelly
Jean.
