Texas is a very diverse state~~limited only by one's imagination.
The Lone Star State ranges from waves rippling onto sandy beaches to vast
wheat fields
rippling in the wind, canyons to mountains, stately pines
to
gnarled mesquite
bushes, fields of wildflowers and bluebonnets to acres of yucca and cacti,
high rises to
shacks, humidity to aridity, rattlesnakes and armadillos to quarter
horses and longhorn cattle, and on and on and on; however, there is one
factor that remains the same no matter where in the state one travels:
the
fierce independence, the pride, and friendliness of Texans. Texas is a
place
where life is a little slower, the stars shine a little brighter, and
folks are a little kinder. No where else in
the world will one find people as friendly as those who are lucky enough
to live in Texas. People who will stop a
stranger on the street just to say "howdy" and "how're ya'll doin'?" or
lend a helping hand "just because". There
may be places in the world more beautiful than Texas, but there is no
where else I would rather be.
