The primary function of Cornerstone is to provide food to those in need. Besides food for the body, Cornerstone provides Spiritual food as well. All who avail themselves of the services of Cornerstone must attend the Tuesday Morning services held in the auditorium of Cornerstone Outreach Center. The services include a time of Praise and Worship and then the Word of God is preached with the emphasis on Salvation. At the end of the service an invitation to accept Jesus as Savior is given. Many have received Jesus during the services at Cornerstone. PRAISE THE LORD ! ! ! Many local Churches support Cornerstone with Prayer, Finances, Volunteers and Ministers who preach on a rotating basis. All of the workers at Cornerstone are volunteers who give of their time to serve those less fortunate than themselves. Many of the volunteers first came to Cornerstone to receive help and some found Jesus there and felt the call of God to serve. Besides the area Churches that assist with the work, many others help in providing food and other items. Many local and distant organizations and businesses furnish much of what is given away. The primary provider of food is the local Food Bank of Amarillo. Without the help of many those in need would suffer even more. In addition to food, clothing and other essential items are provided to those in need. Cornerstone Outreach Center operates a bus pick-up service on Tuesdays for those who do not have transportation. Because of the generous gifts and assistance of several local Churches this service can be provided. The Director and Staff invite you to visit Cornerstone and see God at work. This is the Body of Christ working in the World as it should.
